The engraving of “Ji Yun” in Song Dynasty has an extremely important research value in the Rhyming Book of the Dynasties. This article studies the origin of the book, the use of historical records, the distribution of phonology, phonological system and content quality of Jiyun through detailed historical materials, which provides the necessary reference for future research.
