在陕西历史博物馆的展线上展示有一件这样的“东井灭火”铭①陶井。该陶井为灰陶制,灰陶表面还涂有一层银色粉末,长24.5厘米、宽18厘米、高11.5厘米,井栏呈“井”字形,上有四个榫眼,应是安装井架用的。井壁正面装饰图案为一男子肩扛“灭火”铭旗帜,左手握瓶,大步行走,身后紧随一只公鸡,生活气息浓厚;主体图案左右两侧分别有“东井”、“灭火”陶文(图一)。井背面主体纹饰为一牛低头作饮水状,井壁左面饰
