This article uses rhetorical narrative theory to discuss the quality of the last chapters of Huckleberry Finn, a topic that has long been discussed by academics. With Rabinowitz’s research on readers and Phelan’s research on the types and effects of unreliable narration, the thesis analyzes the emotional dimension of the relationship between Twain, Huck, and readers in the novel, Ethical and aesthetic dimensions. In the first thirty-one chapters of the novel Twain uses Huck’s ignorant narratives to provide readers with an exceptionally satisfying reading experience. However, Twain changed the narrative skills in the final part of the escape, which irretrievably destroyed the three dimensions of reader experience.
