自我意象是我们自己对“我是什么样的人”的看法,是以我们的自我看法为基础,根据我们过去的经历、成败、荣辱及别人对我们的反应(尤其是童年时期的早期经历)而无意识形成的。学习困难学生的成因是由于过去学习上的暂时失败、老师或家长的错误评价,形成了一种学习失败者的自我意象。通过自我意象的重塑可以达到改良学习的目的。自我意象的改变需要经历一个心理调整的过程,包括:目标和想象、信任与纠正、记忆成功、自我交流等。
