第八工人業校,通過壁報來进行爱国主義教育是作得相当好的。办好壁報不是一件容易的事情,特别是在业校裡,學員国文程度低,沒有時间,也沒有寫稿的習慣,更增加了办壁報的困难。可是第八工人业校由於在教師的鼓励和帮助,學員的努力下他們都逐漸的克服了這些困难,把壁報辦的有声有色,而且使壁報發挥应有的作用。最初的壁报是由二年一組在王貫之老師指導下辦起來的,以後便風起云湧各班都辦起來。有的學員因此興奮地說:“真没想到,我們三轮工人(該校大部為三輪工人)也会寫文章辦壁报啦!”壁報的內容,最初只是把學员的習字、算术,以及謎語之类的东西都放在上面,和實際聯系不够緊密,也缺乏思想性。壁报只对學員的學習和習作上起了相當的作用。当抗美援朝運動開展之后,壁报便逐渐形成了學校中进行抗美援朝爱国主义宣传教育的重要陣地,如鄭之鴻在“援朝必勝”的唱詞里说:“……麥魔算盘打又打,妄在朝鮮動刀兵,这全是戰爭販子的鬼計划,咱们中国人看見不能不作声……一个照面打出敌陣几百里,美国鬼子死了足有几萬
