[Objective] To research the antioxidation effects of Lycopus lucidus polysaccharides(LLP) on aged mice induced by D-galactose.[Method] A total of 50 Kunming mice were randomly divided into 5 groups.Except for the normal control group,mice in other groups were given 80 mg/kg D-galactose by subcutaneous injection at the neck back for 42 d,so as to establish the sub-acute aged model.At the same time of D-galactose injection,mice in experimental groups were given 300,200 and 100 mg/kg LLP by gavage;and mice in normal control group and model group were given the same volume of normal saline by gavage.After 12 h of the final medication,mice serum and liver tissues were separated;and aging related biochemistry indexes were detected.[Result] LLP had antagonism effects on the mice aging induced by D-galactose,significantly enhanced the SOD and GSH-Px activities in mice serum and liver tissues,and reduced the MDA content.[Conclusion] LLP may have certain anti-oxidation and anti-aging effects.
