“唐人街”是美国华裔文学作品中涉及较多的一个背景意象,是历史上华裔群体重要的栖居地之一。史实资料也印证了文学作品中唐人街意象的独特价值,部分美国华裔文学作品解析出早期华人移民的生存困境。
“Chinatown ” is one of the more involved background images in American Chinese literature. It is one of the important dwelling places of ethnic Chinese in history. Historical facts also confirm the unique value of the images in Chinatown in literary works. Some Chinese American literary works analyze the survival predicament of early Chinese immigrants.
