Proplast and Plasti Pore are porous, allograft materials that have been used extensively for head and neck reconstruction. The authors divided the 36 dogs into three groups, using the material instead of the resected defect. The first group resected the anterior half of the annular cartilage, but protected the inside and outside the periosteum. The second group resected the anterior half of the annular cartilage, but the mucosa of both the periosteum and supraglottic and the supraglottic trachea were resected.
