考据在清代最盛,今人似不甚重视。近年来国内学术界理论很活跃,但常见一些文章失之于空泛玄奥,并充斥翻译术语之类,国外汉学界对此“以让人看不懂比高下”的文风普遍感到不解。今承客居海外的万青力先生特译短文一篇,本刊读者或可藉此得窥一种踏实缜密的学风。
Textual research in the most prosperous in the Qing Dynasty, people seem less seriously. In recent years, the theory of academic circles in our country is very active. However, some common articles are lost in vague and mysterious, and are full of translation terminology. Foreign sinology circles generally feel puzzled by this style of writing that “people can not comprehend or compare with others.” Today, Mr. Wan Ching-li, who lives overseas, has translated an essay to readers of this journal or can take a peek at a pragmatic and meticulous style of study.
