在2000年3月亚洲研究学会的年会上,由中国城市史协会主办了一次关于“中国城市史研究之展望”的圆桌会议。现就圆桌会议之参加者予以评论,并对听众的各种观点加以概述。圆桌会议参加者简介:刘海岩是天津社会科学院历史所的研究人员,《城市史研究》的主编。他著有关于中国城市史(尤以天津为主)的几本书以及一些文章,他是1999～2000年《城市用语》项目的访法(国)学者。
At the annual meeting of the Asian Studies Society in March 2000, a roundtable on “Prospects for the Study of Chinese Urban History” was sponsored by the Association of Chinese Urban History. Roundtable participants are now commented on and the various points of view of the audience outlined. Round Table Introduction to Participants: Liu Haiyan is a researcher at the institute of history of the Tianjin Academy of Social Sciences and chief editor of “Urban History Studies”. He is the author of several books and articles on the history of Chinese cities, especially in Tianjin. He is a visiting scholar on the “Urban Terminology” project from 1999 to 2000.
