在清政府推行新政的背景下,商部于1905年颁布《出洋赛会通行简章》,鼓励商人出洋参赛,同时在国内普劝各省,开设商品陈列所。这在推动中国参与世界博览会的同时也带动了国内博览会的竞相举办。
Against the backdrop of the Qing government’s introduction of the New Deal, the Ministry of Commerce promulgated the “Guide to Overseas Meetings” in 1905 to encourage merchants to go abroad for foreign competitions. At the same time, they urged all provinces to open commodity exhibitions in China. This is to promote China’s participation in the World Expo but also led the competing domestic fairs.
