一年半之前,我到新加坡参加首届世界华文微型小说研讨会,有幸结识了新加坡著名女作家尤今女士。会议期间,我们谈得很投机。她那风趣幽默的谈吐,和善可亲的笑容,都给我留下了深刻的印象。回国后,我写了一篇《狮城逢尤今》的散文,发表后将剪报寄给她,她很快就写了回信,信中谈了她回中国寻根问祖的事情。过去,我只知道她出生在马来西亚的霹雳怡保,没想到她的根宗却是中国的广东台山。尤今的祖父于1902
A year and a half ago, I went to Singapore to attend the first World Chinese mini novel seminar. I was fortunate enough to get acquainted with the famous Singaporean writer You Yu. During the meeting, we talked very speculatively. Her humorous conversation and friendly smile gave me a deep impression.
