2006年是“十一五”规划的第一年,我们又正在构建社会主义和谐社会,在这一进程中将面临哪些突出矛盾和问题?对此,我们问卷调查了在中央党校学习的近300位地厅级及以上领导干部学员,调查结果表明:“人民内部物质利益矛盾”是排在首位的突出矛盾在当前和今后一段时期,我们不可避免地会面临许多矛盾,有些矛盾甚至还相当突出。调查结果表明,“人民内部物质利益矛盾”是排在首位的突出矛盾(51%)。其次是“城乡矛盾”(45.5%)。(对当前面临的突出矛盾的调查结果可参见文中图表)。构建社会主义和谐社会,必须善于正确处理人民内部矛盾,尤其是人民内部物质利益矛盾。我们必须从构建社会主义和谐社会、贯彻落实“三个代表”重要思想、提高党的执政能力和执政水平的高度.充分认识妥善处理人民内部利益矛盾的极端重要性。

We must fully understand the extreme importance of properly handling contradictions and conflicts among the people.
