在精密铸造生产中,使用制壳机械对于解决涂料质量、降低劳动强度和提高生产率是很有效的,也是很有必要的。MZ384自动制壳机的优点是:占地面积小(仅占地26米~2);投资省;采用工艺较先进,自动程序控制,操作人员1~2人;安装、操作、维修均较方便。我厂于1982年安装了一台MZ384自动制壳机,该机采用氯化铵饱和水溶液高温快速硬化,硬化后即进行热风干燥。由于各地所用制壳材料不同,对于硬化所需时间也有不同要求。我们在手工制壳时采用石英型高强度模壳,面层涂料由水玻璃(模数3~3.2、比重1.3~1.35)50%,石英粉(270目)50%,另加洗净剂0.1~0.2和微量的正辛醇组成,过渡层涂料由水玻璃50%,石英粉25~30%,陶土
