Grave’s disease (GD) is an autoimmune disease with thyroid antibodies. One of the antibodies, thyrotropin (TsAb), is thought to be involved in the pathogenesis. TsAb acts similarly to thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) acting on thyroid follicular cells by adenylyl cyclase. Because of the formation of TsAb due to a change in immune tolerance or some changes in antigen, it was suggested that this antigen is the TSH receptor. Sensitized lymphocytes obtained from GD patients in vitro have been reported not only after specific stimulation with thyroid homogenate but also after unstimulated stimulation
