同志们: 全国文学翻译研讨会今天在长沙岳麓山下,湘水之滨开幕了。我代表中国翻译工作者协会和湖南省翻译工作者协会向到会的全体代表表示热烈的欢迎和亲切的问候,也向在百忙中抽出时间光临指导的湖南省的党政领导同志和宣传、文教、出版方面的领导同志表示衷心的感谢! 这次研讨会虽然规模不很大,由于种种原因本来要出席的几位老翻译家和北京的有关领导同志也没有能到会,但是,我们感到高兴的是,自从1954年全国文学翻译工作会议以来,这毕竟是全国翻译工作者自身的组织——中国译协主办的、有老中青三代翻译工作者参加的第一次盛会。
