在全国工农業大躍进的形势下,上海市紡織工業也在飞躍地發展着,今年上半年生产增長的速度是空前的,棉紗产量比去年同期增長百分之十四点九七,其中第二季度的棉紗产量超过历史上最高的一九五六年第三季度百分之三点六七。特別在技术革新方面已經形成一个空前的高潮,根据初步統計先后創造了二万多技术革新項目,其中許多項目不仅已發展到尖端技术,且已赶上和超过国际水平,如活性染料、廢除原有漿紗工序,改用羧基甲基纖維处理經紗、香花布、靜电植絨、传真雕刻
