If条件句代表的不是一个单一的句法结构,而是一系列相关的结构,并由原型和非原型构成一个原型范畴。扩展是If条件句范畴最基本的认知特征之一。If条件句范畴是以链状结构的形式从原型扩展到非原型的,语言结构的不断简化为If条件句范畴的扩展提供了认知理据。转喻在If条件句范畴的扩展过程中发挥着重要的作用。
The If clause does not represent a single syntactic structure, but rather a series of related structures, and a prototype category consists of archetypes and non-archetypes. Extensions are one of the most basic cognitive features of If conditional clauses. If conditional clauses extend from prototyping to non-prototyping in the form of a chain structure, the continuous simplification of the linguistic structure provides a cognitive basis for the expansion of the category of If conditional clauses. Metonymy plays an important role in the expansion of If conditional clauses.
