在象征传统里,船是天堂里的运载天体——特别是太阳——的交通工具(在这里船代替了战车),或用于把死者送到天堂去。在新石器时代,在巨石做成的墓碑上经常会有船的图案——显然是象征着死者乘船到极乐岛去。
In the symbolic tradition, a ship is a means of transporting heavenly bodies (especially the sun) in heaven (in which ships replace chariots) or used to send the dead to heaven. In the Neolithic Age, there was often a pattern of ships on tombstones made from huge rocks—significantly symbolizing the deceased’s boat trip to Blis.
