收录了六篇有关秦岭生态和动物保护的陕西作家叶广芩的中、短篇小说集《山地故事》英译本于2017年4月刚刚问世。本文通过对其中一篇《狗熊淑娟》英译本前景化语言的解析,深入探究了译者的翻译思想及理念,即:将原文本中对于表达主题意义起着至关重要作用的前景化语言采取合理的直译或意译手段,以最大程度上保留原文的主题意义及文体风格,将饱含着原汁原味的中国语言文化的文学作品展现给西方英语读者。
The English translation of “Mountain Story”, a collection of short stories from the Shaanxi writer Ye Guangqin that contains six articles on ecological and animal protection in the Qinling Mountains, was first published in April 2017. By analyzing the foregrounding language of one of the English translations of “Bear Xiong Shu Juan”, this paper explores the translators’ ideas and ideas in translation deeply, that is, adopts the foreground language which plays a crucial role in expressing thematic meanings in the original text Reasonable means of literal translation or free translation, in order to maximize the original theme of the text to retain the style and style, will be full of original Chinese language and culture of literary works to show to Western English readers.
