In deepening hospital reform, how to strengthen quality management and improve the quality of medical care is a very important issue in current hospital management. From the analysis of 706 cases of medical disputes in Shanghai during the first half of the period from 1997 to 2002, the number of medical disputes in the operating departments has remained high; the medical disputes in orthopedics have apparently risen; and medical disputes related to drug use management have tended to increase. 1 Data analysis and results in 706 cases
