目前国内外泌尿外科用超声或电液震波经尿道治疗膀胱结石,已成为一种常规治疗。但这两种碎石方法所须能量,均需要由探针直接传送至结石。因此,将该技术应用于输尿管结石及肾结石的设想,尚未取得满意的结果。近年来经皮行肾脏穿刺术,将能量转送至上尿路结石,虽不出现并发症,但这种方法仍属于十种侵入性的方法。最近几年生物医学界及试验研究中,采用震波技术,并安全地应用于临床,提供了一种非外科治疗方法,将上尿路结石变为碎粒,使其小至足以自行排出。是泌尿外科近年来一项重大的进展。
