结构面是在一定的构造应力作用下产生的,并在它形成以后漫长的地质历史中经受了各种各样的构造作用,因此,它不仅只有一定的力学性质,而且记录着后期的构造作用。所以研究结构面的特点,尤其是它们在力学性质上的转化是研究构造运动历史,恢复早期应力的有效方法之一。当然,这种研究必须结合区域地质构造的研究才能得出正确的结论。
The structural plane is produced under certain tectonic stress and has undergone various tectonic processes in the long geological history since it was formed. Therefore, it not only has certain mechanical properties but also records the later tectonism . Therefore, studying the characteristics of structural planes, especially their transformation in mechanical properties, is one of the effective methods to study the history of structural movement and restore early stress. Of course, this kind of research must be combined with the study of regional geological structure to get the correct conclusion.
