Accession to the WTO further widened the open space of our province, steadily expanded the scale of domestic and foreign businesses, and achieved some success in attracting investment. In 2002, our province had already completed the expected target of “the Tenth Five-Year Plan” with a total export volume of 2.6 billion U.S. dollars, reaching 2.71 billion U.S. dollars. In 2003, the total export volume reached 3.21 billion U.S. dollars, ranking first in the western region for three consecutive years.
