魏寿昆,冶金学家和冶金工程教育家,我国冶金物理化学学科奠基人和中国金属学会创建人之一。1907年出生于天津市,1935年获德国德累斯顿工业大学工学博士学位。1936年回国,先后在北洋工学院、西北联合大学、西北工学院、天津大学等高校任教。1952年北京钢铁学院组建,魏寿昆被任命为第一任教务长,1979年任学院副院长。1980年当选为中国科学院学部委员(中国科学院院士)。他从教七十七年,讲授过二十七门基础课和专业课程,为我国培养了五代冶金科技人才。
Wei Shoukun, a metallurgist and metallurgist educator, founder of China’s Metallurgical Physical Chemistry and founder of the Chinese Society of Metals. Born in Tianjin in 1907 and received a doctorate degree in engineering in 1935 from the Technical University of Dresden, Germany. Returning to China in 1936, successively taught at Beiyang Institute of Technology, Northwestern Polytechnical University, Northwestern Polytechnical University, Tianjin University and other colleges and universities. 1952 Beijing Iron and Steel Institute set up, Wei Shoukun was appointed as the first Dean, 1979, vice president of the college. In 1980 was elected academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (Chinese Academy of Sciences). He taught for 77 years and taught 27 basic courses and specialized courses for our country trained five generations of metallurgical science and technology personnel.
