第三章编写生涯(续)二十六、进《新华日报》工作沫沙重到桂林,已是一九四二年的三、四月,春暖花开了。南方的春天是来得早的。到了桂林,他们先住在旅馆里,不几天,茅盾夫妇、张友渔夫妇都已租到房屋另住。他同胡仲持是单身,就搬住桂林青年会的公寓。夏衍等人经过桂林,往重庆去了。这时期,他除开见到《救亡日报》留在桂林的一些人之外,还见到田汉。田汉一家都在桂林,田汉经常陪同从香港回内地的柳亚子先生出游,有时也带着沫沙去作陪。沫沙住进青年会公寓不久,遇到丁瓒,丁也到了桂林。他是路过桂林到贵阳、重庆去的。丁告诉他,太平洋战争爆发,北平的美国机构、医院和学校都被日本人接管,他们撤回大后方来参加中美合办的卫生和医学研究机构。丁没有住几天就走了。
