随着经济全球化的进一步深入发展,各国之间的经济文化交流日益频繁,各种文化也相互交融。在这种时代背景下,若不对西方的价值观、风土人情、文化习惯有充分认识,就会导致文化误解或冲突。而若要了解西方民族文化,就必须立足于英美文学,对其进行全面深入的研究。本文首先分析了文化意识下英美文学研究需遵循的阶段性、实用性、交际性原则。又在此基础上从通过作品研究掌握文化差异、了解英美文化发展、领会英语语言文化等方面,全面论述了文化意识与英美文学的联系。同时也指出了当前英美文学研究中存在的问题,并以此为依据提出了相应的研究策略,即合理运用多媒体、深入探究英美文化内涵、加强师生间的互动交流。
With the further deepening of economic globalization, economic and cultural exchanges among various countries have become increasingly frequent and various cultures have also interwoven with each other. Against this background of the times, without a full understanding of the values, customs, and cultural habits of the West, cultural misunderstandings or conflicts can result. To understand the western national culture, we must base ourselves on Anglo-American literature and conduct a comprehensive and in-depth study on it. This article first analyzes the principle of stage, practicality and communicativeness that English and American literary studies must follow under cultural awareness. On the basis of this, I will give a comprehensive exposition of the relationship between cultural awareness and Anglo-American literature from the aspects of mastery of cultural differences through study of works, understanding of Anglo-American cultural development and understanding of English language and culture. At the same time, it also points out the existing problems in Anglo-American literary studies. Based on this, the corresponding research strategies are put forward, that is, the rational use of multi-media to explore the Anglo-American cultural connotation and strengthen the interaction between teachers and students.
