数学是一门研究现实世界的空间形式与数量关系的科学,是人们认识世界、发展科学技术、推动社会进步的重要工具。随着现代科学技术迅猛发展,计算机技术、概率统计等知识已广泛应用于生产、生活的各个领域,自然科学与人文科学日益趋向定量化,许多现象和过程需要借助数学来模拟、研究和预测,数学在各个领域中的作用越来越显著。因此,增强对数学的认识,掌握一定的数学思想、数学方法将成为现代人不可缺少的基本素质。
Mathematics is a science that studies the relationship between spatial form and quantity in the real world. It is an important tool for people to understand the world, develop science and technology, and promote social progress. With the rapid development of modern science and technology, knowledge of computer technology, probability and statistics has been widely used in all fields of production and life. The natural sciences and humanities tend to be more and more quantified. Many phenomena and processes need to be simulated, studied and predicted through mathematics. Mathematics plays a more and more significant role in all fields. Therefore, to enhance understanding of mathematics and grasp a certain mathematical thinking, mathematical methods will become indispensable to modern people’s basic qualities.
