红色文博馆院指的是1840年以来,为纪念和展示中华民族为争取民族独立,实现伟大复兴,特别是中国共产党领导下的新民主主义革命和社会主义革命与建设光辉历程的博物馆、纪念馆,其中包括革命遗址和烈士陵园等教育场所。它通过文物陈列、艺术造型、场景复原、历史图片、影视播放和文字讲解等不同的艺术形式展示,把中国革命历史进程中不屈不饶的奋斗精神传播给大众,让大众在参观中感受强烈的精神震撼,从陈列的文物、人物、事件中获得深刻的精神启迪,从而增强爱国爱民的情感。
