作为主体的人的发展与社会经济发展是同一过程,主体的发展是衡量社会发展的价值尺度。市场经济条件下,以物的依赖为基础建立起人与人的世界性的、普遍的交往关系,独立个体得以生成。而市场交换的内容及其特有的交换形式为主体获得自由和平等奠定了现实基础,并转化为政治、法律上的自由。以竞争和利益机制为核心的运行方式则为主体性的跃升提供了现实化的道路。概而言之,市场经济为主体发展提供了必要的物质条件并进一步确立人的主体地位,促进主体性的发挥和阶段性跃升,为主体最终实现目的与手段的统一准备条件。
