随着2001年新一轮基础教育课程改革的推行,《牛津初中英语》这套教材也随之产生,并在江苏省大部分地区投入使用,与旧教材相比,这套教材无论是在体例安排上还是在内容选择上都存在很大不同。因此,应从根本上改变教学方式,把为了“每一位学生的全面发展”作为新课程发展的核心理念。首先对《牛津初中英语》这套教材、对课程标准的起源和特点等做了简单的阐述,然后简单地介绍了一下适用于《牛津初中英语》的任务型教学模式,从六个设计方法介绍了任务型教学在牛津初中英语Reading教学中的运用,并以案例加以说明,从而证明任务型教学适用于《牛津初中英语》中的Reading教学。
