长江三峡水利枢纽工程,简称三峡工程,是中国长江中上游段建设的大型水利工程项目,分布在中国重庆市到湖北省宜昌市的长江干流上,大坝位于三峡西陵峡内的种归县三斗坪,并和其下游不远的葛洲坝水电站形成梯级调度电站。它是世界上规模最大的水电站,也是中国有史以来建设的最大型的工程项目。一期工程从1993年初开始,利用江中的中堡岛,围护住其右侧后河,筑起土石围堰深挖基坑,并修建导流明渠。二期工程从大江截流后的1998年开始,在大江河段浇筑土石围堰,开工建设泄洪坝段、左岸大坝、
The Three Gorges Project of the Yangtze River, referred to as the Three Gorges Project, is a large-scale water conservancy project under construction in the middle and upper reaches of the Yangtze River in China. It is located in the mainstream of the Yangtze River in Yichang, Hubei Province, Dou Ping, and not far downstream of the Gezhouba hydropower station to form a cascade dispatching station.
