India is one of the important developing countries in the Asia-Pacific region. Its economic development mainly depends on agriculture. About 75% of the population of the country make a living from agriculture. In India, the use of cotton pesticides in the country’s total use of pesticides 50%, rice pesticide use accounted for 18%.
