《义务教育英语课程标准》指出,小学英语教学的目的最关键是激发学生学习英语的兴趣,使学生产生愉快的学习情绪,从而能更高效地掌握所学知识。兴趣是学好语言的关键,激发学生学习英语的兴趣是小学阶段英语教学的一项重要任务。趣味性是英语教学游戏的基本特征,小学生的天性是好玩、好奇,新颖和有趣的游戏可以充分调动学生的学习兴趣。游戏既能使他们得到快乐,又有很高的教育价值。设计游戏的最终目的是要让学生通过游戏来掌握语言知识,所以要注意把教材内容和学生的实际相结合,有针对性地设计教学游戏,通过游戏对学生进行语言训练,使游戏为语言知识的学习与运用服务。教师在课前设计好的教学游戏应该服务于课堂教学的目标,有利于教学任务的完成。在游戏中,要把趣味性、知识性和创造性有机地结合起来,提高学生学习英语的兴趣。
