Introduction In Italy, gypsum and anhydrite deposits formed from single-component rock formations are quite common. In a number of areas, gypsum production and processing are well developed. Statistics show that in the past decade, the output of gypsum in Italy has fluctuated between 350 and 4.1 million tons per year. Recent data show a downward trend. However, it may be due to the gradual implementation of Regulations D, P, and R 2 on January 14, 1972. It is expected that after the transfer of management rights for each stope from the country to the region, the statistics in the past may be incomplete. Now report the output of the world’s largest gypsum-producing countries in 1982 (unit: million tons).
