奈达的功能对等理论重视译文和原文在语言功能上的对等,以读者反应论为核心,强调读者的反应是评价翻译好坏的标准,为翻译实践和翻译批评提供了指导。本文选取杨宪益、戴乃迭夫妇翻译的《荷塘月色》译本和李明翻译的译本,以功能对等为理论指导,从词汇和句法两个层面,对比分析各自译本的精妙和不足之处以及翻译技巧,为散文翻译提供借鉴。
Nida’s theory of functional equivalence emphasizes on the equivalence of the language function of the target language and the original language. The reader reaction theory is the core of the functional equivalence theory, which emphasizes that the reader’s response is a criterion to evaluate the translation quality and provides guidance for translation practice and translation criticism. This article chooses Yang He-yi and Dai Nai-ji’s translation of The Lotus Pond and the translated version of Li Ming’s translation. Taking the functional equivalence as the theoretical guidance, this article compares and analyzes the subtleties and shortcomings of their translations from the aspects of vocabulary and syntax. Translation skills, provide reference for prose translation.
