简史中国社会科学院世界历史研究所(下简称“世界史所”)成立于1964年5月,前身为1959年设在中国科学院哲学社会科学部历史研究所的世界历史研究组;1962年扩建为世界历史研究室;1964年5月,在研究室的基础上扩编,正式建成世界历史研究所,它是中国社会科学院对世界主要国家和地区的历史进行综合性研究的专门学术机构。陈翰笙先生曾任名誉所长,刘思慕、朱庭光、张椿年、廖学盛、武寅曾先后任所长,现任所长于沛、党委书记周荣耀。
Brief history Institute of World History, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (hereinafter referred to as “World History Institute”) was established in May 1964, formerly known as the Institute of History and Philosophy of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1959 World History Research Group; 1962 expansion World History Research Center; May 1964, expanded on the basis of research institutes and formally established the Institute of World History, which is a specialized academic institution conducting comprehensive studies by Chinese Academy of Social Sciences on the history of the major countries and regions in the world. Mr. Chen Hansheng served as honorary director, Liu Simu, Zhu Tingguang, Zhang Chun Nian, Liao Xuesheng, Wu Yin has served as director, the incumbent director Yu Pei, party secretary Zhou Rongyao.
