计算机诞生已近50年,今天它不仅成为人们必备的日常工具,也是开发人员首要的研究工具,更是许多人休闲时的玩具。然而,对许多存在身体缺陷的残疾人士而言,使用计算机就会出现这样或那样的问题。不过厂商们在利用各类最新技术,为那些需要特殊访问技术的人士提供了专门的解决方案,使他们也获得了与普通人同等的使用电脑的权力。开发人员和残疾人专用产品供应商需要与零售商和分销商通力合作,才能将多数人负担得起并且简单实用的技术送到残疾人士的手中。当然,令这些系统正常运转也不是一件容易的事情。操作系统和应用软件供应商必须在自己的产品中提供相应的功能,并能够支持或兼容其它的帮助性装置和产品。
The computer has been in existence for nearly 50 years. Today, it has become not only an essential daily tool for people, but also a primary research tool for developers. It is also a toy for many people when they are at leisure. However, for many people with disabilities who have physical defects, there are problems with the use of computers. However, manufacturers are using various new technologies to provide special solutions for those who need special access technology, so that they also have the same rights to use computers as ordinary people. Developers and disability product suppliers need to work with retailers and distributors in order to bring the affordable, simple and practical technology to the disabled. Of course, making these systems work is not an easy task either. Operating system and application software vendors must provide corresponding functionality in their products and be able to support or be compatible with other helper devices and products.
