“卡拉OK”是我国群众文化娱乐形式中的一匹“黑马”,近年来突然跃出,对于人们特别是青年人产生了难以抵挡的诱惑。似乎就是一刹那间,全国已遍地皆是卡拉OK。面对这样一种与出版工作密切相联的潮流,音像出版界却没有及时反应。虽然也出了一些卡拉OK歌曲,但相当一部分属步人后尘,别人出什么样的、怎样出,我们也怎样干,亦步亦趋,与群众的要求相去很远。在这种情况下,《中华大家唱(卡拉OK)曲库》(以下简称《曲库》)的出版,犹如久旱后的甘霖,立即引起强烈的反响。
