由华中科技大学与美国纽约城市大学共同主办的国际汉语教学学术研讨会2000年6月16～18日在武汉华中科技大学举行。除主办会议的两校外,另有十余所大学参与发起:美国纽约大学、夏威夷大学、新泽西州立罗德格斯大学、哈佛大学、白枚学院、肯扬学院、海弥尔顿学院、和平路德大学、圣路易斯华盛顿大学、新加坡南洋理工大学、加拿大维多利亚大学、日本名古屋商务行政大学以及中国台湾国立师范大学。
The International Chinese Teaching Symposium co-hosted by Huazhong University of Science and Technology and New York City University in the United States was held at Huazhong University of Science and Technology from June 16 to 18, 2000. In addition to the two campuses hosting the conference, more than ten other universities are participating in the initiative: New York University, University of Hawaii, New Jersey State University Rodriguez, Harvard University, White Institute, Kewang College, Haydn College, Heping Road University of Washington, St. Louis University of Washington, Singapore Nanyang Technological University, Victoria University of Canada, Japan Nagoya Business Administration University and National Taiwan Normal University.
