The annual rainfall in Fenhe River Basin has basically kept the same level since the 1950s, but the runoff and sediment have been greatly reduced. The runoff has decreased from 1.7 billion m3 in the 1950s and 1960s to less than 500 million m3 in the 1990s. Sediment From an average of 52.2 million tons in the 1950s and 1960s to 2.5 million tons in the 1990s, Nearly a dozen years Fenhe Hejin station measured daily average of more than 100 days a year less than 1m3 / s, for a long time close to the current state, making the Fenhe estuary drainage capacity reduced, which is very unfavorable to the Fenhe flood control. Under the same rainfall conditions, the runoff decreased significantly, indicating that the integrated development and management of the river basin is of a high degree of governance and also increases the degree of water pollution. The annual sediment load showed a decreasing trend. From the changes of the percentages of sediment in each particle size class, the sediment composition became thinner.
