这个组人不多,作者七、八人,组稿者二、三人,但事情并不少。通常管这个组叫“抓创作”的,其实作品不是什么人抓出来的,而是作者写出来的。我觉得这个观念很重要,不好颠倒了。我们有以下这么些作法,讲出来,请批评指正——对作者一定要热情对待。写话剧剧本难度大、周期长、稿费低。中青年作者的工资不过五、六十,七、八十元一个月,他们肯于用一部中、长篇小说的材料写一篇四、五万字的剧本,不容易,没有一点热爱以至献身于话剧事业的精神是办不到的。因此,要爱护他们。要平等待人,尊重他们的劳动。要肯于承认自己不如作者,至少在他所写的题材上,你不如他们懂得多。不怕不懂,不懂先问,把作者所占有的生活,他对生活的感受,他的立意问清楚了,有了什么意见再
