在建国50周年大庆之际,本刊首次刊登一组由上海市统计局和上海现代统计产业发展中心公布的上海主要行业企业的1998年度统计对比资料,这是一件十分有意义的事情.它集中展示了在邓小平建设有中国特色社会主义理论指引下,上海各行各业涌现出的一大批排头兵企业,是对上海经济实力的一次大检阅.这些资料的公布,不仅可以有效地宣传上海经济建设和改革开放取得的巨大成就,鼓舞士气,而且向全社会展示了各个行业中优秀企业的风采,有助于提升这些企业的整体形象和市场影响力,同时,使更多企业看到自己在同行业中所处的位置及与国内、国际一流企业的差距,从而树立起更加明确的发展目标.
