The new “Code for the Construction and Acceptance of Reinforced Concrete Projects” (GBJ204-83) was issued by the Ministry of Environmental Protection of Urban and Rural Development on July 1, 1984. Letters from various parts of the country have raised questions about certain provisions of the code. The revision team of this specification has answered the questions raised. This article summarizes the problems posed and classifies them into comprehensive written solutions. I. Concrete Part 1. Concrete mixing water problem Article 4.1.8 of the code states: Concrete should be used for mixing concrete. Reinforced concrete and prestressed concrete shall not be mixed with seawater.
