我们写作者有时真的像个手艺人,或者干脆说就是个手艺人。过去对于写作的人就有个传统的称呼:文字匠。我后来长久地咀嚼,觉得这个称呼很俗但很在理,它把写作者归之于有别于庄稼人的队列,同时又让写作者与其他艺人或匠人相异开。比如,在匠人中就有诸如铁匠、木匠、篾匠、瓦匠、泥水匠……我说这些话,显然是个引子,而且是个重要的、有嚼头的引子。我联想起亚里士多德的“四因”说,他的四因是指质料因、形式因、动力因和目的因。质料因是指事物由什么东西形成的;形式因是指事物根据什么而形成;动力因是指事物形成的动力是什么;目的因是指
Sometimes our writers are really like artisans, or simply artisans. In the past, there was a traditional name for writing: writing.
