It is with profound collegial caring and support,the Chinese Journal of Library and Information Science(CJLIS)is finally coming into being after almost one-year in preparation.The CJLIS,being sponsored by the Chinese Academy of Sciences(CAS)and published quarterly by the National Science Library of CAS,is a scholarly journal in the field of library and information science(LIS).Striving toward academic excellence,innovation,and practicality,the Journal mainly includes research papers both on the theoretical as well as on the practical fronts in all aspects of the field.
