函数是《义务教育数学课程标准(2011年版)》界定的“数与代数”中的重要内容,也是中学数学的核心内容,它是刻画变量之间依赖关系的重要模型.青岛版《义务教育教科书·数学》(七~九年级)结合代数式的概念及早给出函数的定义,并且采用提前渗透、分层推进、及时穿插、不断深化的安排方式,这样安排对于培养学生的几何直观能力,形成优化的认知结构,以及强化数形结合的思想方法,通过建立函数模型培养应用意识等都具有重要的意义.
