黛西是盖茨比“美国梦”的最大象征,同时,也是他精神世界的依靠。很多评论都认为黛西是导致盖茨比理想破灭的因素之一,事实上,盖茨比也造成了黛西悲剧的命运,他们的命运是相互关联的。本文尝试从批评话语分析的视角探析《了不起的盖茨比》中黛西的悲剧命运,从对小说中盖茨比、汤姆、尼克和黛西本人的话语中分析黛西悲剧命运的原因,使读者对黛西这一美国文坛上的典型女性形象有一个全新的理解与认识。
Daisy is the greatest symbol of Gatsby’s “American dream,” and at the same time is the dependence of his spiritual world. Many commented that Daisy was one of the factors leading to the destruction of Gatsby’s ideals. In fact, Gatsby also caused the fate of Daisy’s tragedy, and their fate was inter-related. This article attempts to analyze Daisy’s tragic fate in The Great Gatsby from the perspective of critical discourse analysis. From the perspectives of Gatsby, Tom, Nick and Daisy in the novel, I analyze the causes of Daisy’s tragedy. Readers have a new understanding and understanding of Daisy’s typical female image in the American literary world.
