一边是“十里银湖墅”的运河文化,一边是厂房林立、环境脏乱的老印象,长期以来拱墅区是尴尬的,守着老底子却焕发不出新面貌,多年来这里的房产也一直停留在“品质低、景观差”的老观念里。在城市发展的进程中,拱墅区似乎被遗忘在历史的车轮下。这几年,在政府大力扶持之下,拱墅区又重新回归到众人的视线,拱墅区可以说已经脱胎换骨,运河的整治,老城区的改造,拱墅区从一个工业区转变成一个以一个服务业为主导的新兴的城区。
