非典期间,花钱在媒体上发布公益广告;印尼海啸时,向青岛红十字会捐赠巨款;在店内常设“春蕾女童”捐款箱,2006年上半年更是每月发起一次“春蕾”主题活动;还声势浩大地举行“慈善一日捐”及各种慈善拍卖活动……本应在商言商、在商谋商的百货店,却是如此表现,着实令人摸不着头脑:这俨然是以搞慈善、公益活动为主业了,这岂非本末倒置?在现今这个对一切都满腹狐疑、不以为然的商业时代,人们惯常的反应就是如此。可山东省委副书记、青岛市委书记杜世成在接受央视《文明中国》专访时所讲的一句话——“爱心已经成为青岛的城市精神,成为青岛市一张新的名片”,意外给人们提供了一个解读“阳光百货现象”、认识“阳光价值”的新视角——始终高扬爱心、慈善旗帜的阳光百货,也许正以爱心行动、慈善义举,彰显着其作为21世纪的“阳光企业”那种与生俱来的“阳光力量”,而正是因为这种“阳光力量”,才催生了阳光三“尚”。
